PayPal Security Measure Usability Issue

Just a moment ago I struck by the worst usability of “Security Measure”.

For some good reason I upgraded my Bank Account and then I got the new Debt Card and got a new number, never felt to login to the PayPal to update it, actually stop using PayPal long time ago, because Amazon is serving me well with pretty much whatever I needed.

As I was trying to join the the BayCHI, my obvious choice was at that moment is to pay the membership fee by PayPal, who ignores the convenience factor of online payment. However, once I get logged in to the paypal account, I welcome by the “Security Measures” message and asking me to provide the Debt Card Number associated with my PayPal account. However there is no other way to verify it until and unless I provide them the card number I had with them before.

So annoying and frustrated, at least give user a  choice and verify with other means by asking me an option like “Social Security Number”, “Confirmation via phone” or “Email” .
